We're so delighted to see the talented work of Scarlet Petal's Lead Designer, Sarah Anderson, be showcased on Cafe Brauer's blog this week! Click here for the full story and additional detail shots. Our dynamic duo, David Snyder and Sarah, make magic happen below in this stunning table display.
The Hotel Allegro is one of those venues that really embraces the true essence of Chicago. Guests of the hotel are surrounded by eclectic decor, luxurious accommodations, and an overall hip vibe synonymous with living in the downtown area.
Scarlet Petal recently decorated the interior of the Allegro ballroom for a wedding this past fall. Sivan, our adorable and petite bride, selected a rich hued palette of peacock blue delphinium set amongst crisp white hydrangea blooms. The combination was striking and really popped in photos! Below are a few captured by their talented photographer, DeAwna McGinley.
Congratulations to Sivan and David on becoming newlyweds!
We had so much fun working with Abby and Adrienne on their wedding day at The Ivy Room in Chicago. It was filled with vibrant color, love, and laughter! Click the image below to see the entire slideshow captured by Rick Aguilar. Congratulations, Ladies! Enjoy!
Wow! We've been featured again in the wedding blog Style Me Pretty! This week, they have posted the most beautiful photos of a wedding we decorated in the Gold Coast Room of The Drake Hotel. Here are a few of my favorites, but click here to see the full feature.
Regardless of how many weddings we do, we're always so flattered and honored to be chosen as people's wedding florist. Given how we operate as a small company, our wedding couples always become an extension of our family during the planning process (and long after the wedding is completed) and that's what makes us so unique as a company. Our family has grown exponentially over the years.
A few days ago we received a lovely email from Margaret, a sweetheart-of-a-bride of ours who recently wed at The School of the Art Institute. Here's a snippet from it made us all smile:
Just got back from our honeymoon in Greece - it was amazing! We
haven't been able to stop talking about how perfect the wedding was and a
large reason for that was because of the flowers! I thought they were
PERFECT! And everyone loved them! Thank
you so much for your help and your vision (since I had no clue what I
wanted)! I would not have changed one thing!
She also shared a link to her amazingly talented photographer's blog, Rebecca Marie Photography. Rebecca posted some gorgeous shots from Margaret and Kyle's wedding day. Here are a few for you to enjoy.
Congratulations, Margaret and Kyle! We wish you all the happiness and health in the future.
My apologies again for the long lag time between posts. I'm happy to say that we're finally settled in our new place! Come visit us at 1621 West Carroll, just 2 blocks away from our old studio.
Wednesday of last week I was pleasantly surprised when I received word that Scarlet Petal was featured again in Style Me Pretty! It's always an honor for our work to be noticed, especially when it's picked up by a popular national blog like SMP.
They featured one of our recent weddings at Cafe Brauer filled with sunshine and elegant accents. Below are a few photos for you to see. Click here for the full feature.
I wanted to share another beautiful wedding with you from the Harold Washington Library! The Winter Garden room is always so bright and airy, it almost feels like your outdoors (a rare find in downtown Chicago). If you're guest list is growing, consider this spacious venue as an option for your ceremony and reception.
We decorated the guest tables with contrasting dark manzanita branches adorned with stark white dendrobium orchids. Hanging votives illuminated at various heights throughout the trees. It looked fabulous amongst the marble walled interior.
A big thank you to our talented photographer friend, Chad Husar, for supplying us with his stunning images you'll see below. Of course we have to extend a big hug to the star of the show, Heather Meibach of Heather Ever Present, for making the entire event and planning process seamless.

Planning a wedding is somewhat like a mathematic equation. If you follow the right formula, most likely you'll end up with a beautiful and memorable day. If you miss the mark on one thing, you might just end up falling flat. It's all about the details!!
Lynne and Chris seemed to pull it all together seamlessly. From the invitation right down to the color of the cake, their black and white theme portrayed a modern, yet elegant vibe. The ceremony and reception were both held at the Park Hyatt in downtown Chicago.
Lynne wanted rich reds for the personal flowers, so we paired velvet black beauty roses with black berries for the bridesmaids. She carried a classic round bouquet of roses.
The reception space carried out her crisp and clean palette of white with undertones of black. Wrought iron lanterns were used to cast a warm glow throughout the room. Tucked beneath the lanterns were groupings of hydrangea, scabiosa, ti leaves, kangaroo paw, and roses. Other guest tables were decorated with groupings of floating candles accented by similar flowers used beneath the wrought iron lantern. Serendipity Portraits did a beautiful job capturing the details.
The greatest part about getting married in Chicago are the fabulous locations along the waterfront. One that I love in particular is the River East Arts Center. Selfishly, I love how you can rent out an art gallery and have the beautiful works on display for your guests to enjoy. The location on top of things is just perfect - right off the riverfront in Streeterville.
Ashley and Stephen celebrated their wedding day at River East on a beautiful December evening. We transformed the space by using modern table arrangements and colored uplighting. Below are the absolutely stunning photos taken by Dennis Lee Photography. Enjoy!
Congratulations, Ashley and Stephen!! We're so happy for you both.
It was a beautiful summer day in August when Liz and Andrew tied the knot. The wedding took place at Madonna Della Strada Church and the party continued after at the stunning Chicago History Museum. Here are a few sneak peeks capatured by the talented Jennifer Driscoll. Click here to view the entire gallery.
