We just produced a stunning wedding at the School of the Art Institute for a lovely couple Leslie and Jim. From the moment they walked into our studio with their extended family members I immediately felt like we had a connection. I found out shortly after that we actually went to the same high school district and knew some of the same people. Talk about six degrees of separation. It just felt natural right from the start.
Leslie and Jim, more so Jim (tee hee), had a challenging request for us upon their first visit. They wanted cherry blossoms in their centerpieces, symbolizing their Asian heritage. The challenging part was that cherry blossoms are only available during the early months of spring, not September when their wedding day was scheduled. Luckily for us, we have a plethora of resources when it comes to silk and I happened to stumble upon some gorgeous silk cherry blossoms that very week! In the end, we resolved to intertwine the silk cherry blossoms amongst the natural dendrobium orchid stems. It was beautiful!
The wedding itself went off without a hitch thanks to the fine coordination of Cindy Shanholtz of Effortless Events. It was seamless from the start.
I shot a few amateur pictures of their big day, but sighed in relief when I saw the professional shots taken by the ever-so-talented Gina DeConti of Imaginative Studios! She just released a few given the timing, but they truly captured the beauty of their special day and some of our décor details. We will post more as they become available.
Enjoy!
A thank you note from the bride:
“Well, what can I say?
Everything was what we imagined and more. The bouquets, boots, corsages were
spectacular. I only wish you could've seen how beautiful the bridesmaid's
bouquets complemented the dresses in person. And my bouquet...WOW! It was as if
you designed it around my dress. The crystals especially that you attached to
the satin looked like they were part of my jewelry!! Do you know so many people
were stopping us on the streets while we were doing pictures and asking us
where we got the flowers and what a gorgeous color combination?!?!
At the venue, Jim and I were completely blown away. The beautiful blush orchids
and submerged flowers in the cylinder vases were amazing. So many people were
asking for your name. I hope that you get a lot of calls for future
events =)
I am attaching a couple of pictures taken by some friends. Gina's pictures will
be much better so I'll forward those along whenever I get them.
Thank you again Esther for everything. I am so happy that we met and so happy
to have had you as our florist!
-Leslie”
