This past Saturday was a busy one! We were spread out across Chicagoland with weddings at The Wit, The Morton Arboretum, and North Pond Restaurant. It was a beautiful sunny day and thank goodness since our North Pond wedding ceremony took place outside.
North Pond Restaurant is located just north of the Nature Museum on a small grassy hill overlooking a pond. It can easily claim the city's loveliest setting with views of the city skyline that are stunning! Here's a snapshot of one of our planters that helped to frame the ceremony space just outside the entrance.
I loved the color palette of the bridesmaids' bouquets! We used textured flowers like dahlias, brunia berries, craspedia, stock, ranunculus, and dusty miller.
Erin and Nitsuh invited about 80 guests to celebrate their big day. Erin went above and beyond with her artistic touches. She placed a personalized fan on each guest chair with a crossword puzzle of questions about her and Nitsuh to keep guests busy before the start of the ceremony!
The interior of North Pond Restaurant used to be a warming building for ice skaters back in the early 1900's. Today it's a cozy and inviting restaurant that makes you feel right at home.
We used textured and earth toned flowers to highlight the reception table tops. The space deserves modest accents given the rich detailing in the natural architecture of the building. Below you'll see flowers like orange dahlia, hydrangea, bells of ireland, craspedia, pincushion protea, and wheat grass. We also accented with amber votives for a nice warm glow.
Very beautiful flower arrangements it really suited the wedding motif!
