Happy Holidays to all! We’re finally
winding down from the busy wedding season. It was a fabulous year filled with
new trends and sites to see. One in particular I wanted to highlight today is
from a wedding we just produced at The InterContinental Chicago O’Hare. This new hotel features four Grand Ballrooms, each with
their own private cocktail reception area.
It was the perfect
spot for our bride Sravana, because she was looking for a sophisticated
atmosphere to accommodate her 400+ person guest list. With the coordination
help of Marcia from An Urban Affair and Kristi Cruse from the hotel, the wedding turned out to be a
beautiful and memorable evening.
Sravana wanted to
incorporate some of her Indian heritage by bringing in traditional shades of
red, but also wanted to keep the color palette monochromatic with the
predominant shade being white. To achieve both, romantic undertones of red
light were washed throughout the walls of the ballroom, while the floral
consisted of white dendrobium orchids and parrot tulips. Red votives added a
subtle hint of color to the tabletops.
We wanted to wish
Sravana and her husband best wishes for a happy and healthy future. It was a
pleasure working with everyone! For more information on the Hotel
Intercontinental O’Hare, contact Kristi at kcr[email protected].
