Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and spent time visiting with friends and family. We were busy producing two fabulous weddings, one of which was hosted on New Year’s Eve at the Ravenswood Event Center. It was a blast (literally, they set off streamers when the clock struck midnight).
If you haven’t been, Ravenswood Event Center is a 3-story warehouse turned classic car showroom and event space. The main level, Billboard Showroom, is decked out with old neon signs of iconic gasoline stations and beer insignias. The cars frame the space in valuables ranging from your classic ol’ “woody” to the sexy and expected Porsche. Our Bride and Groom, Amy and Ben, took over the entire venue for their evening affair. Their party took place in the showroom which was outfitted with an assortment of round and rectangular shaped tables. Given it was intended to be a lax and fun setting; they opted away from seating arrangements and kept the seating open.
Enhancing the whimsical theme, our floral and décor consisted of a wide range geometric shapes and textures. Pomander balls of mums, bells of Ireland, and moss accented the long tables. The rounds were accented by tall sprays of phalaenopsis orchids.
The ceremony and cocktail hour were hosted on the Industrial Ballroom and Billboard
Atrium loft levels, with the convenience of the passenger elevator to take
guests from room to room. When the professional photos become available I will
be certain to update you on the fabulous surroundings.
All and all, Ravenswood Event Center was the perfect venue to ring in a Happy New Year and a Happy New Marriage! Congratulations Amy and Ben!
