Afternoon Wedding in Lincoln Park

Lisa and Leo's afternoon wedding began with a first look, photos. and a heartwarming ceremony at St. Paul's church in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago.  Then, the celebration continued with family and friends during a fun-filled reception that followed at Salvatore's restaurant just a few blocks away.  A toast by Leo's father, in both Spanish and English, was especially touching.  Dinner was delicious, and the simple white and green color scheme was both natural and refereshing.  The bride looked beautiful in her ruffled gown, especially when twirling on the dance floor.  Everyone seemed to have a ball at this joyous celebration.  What a treat it was for us to be part of this couple's special day!  See it all at Angela Renee Photography.

Salvatore's Wedding: Kemi and Jake

Kemi was an unbelievable bride. She planned her entire wedding while in the midst of rotations in medical school. She even managed to come in early one Saturday morning to view her centerpiece sample after doing rounds at the hospital the entire night. Now that's dedication!

Kemi and Jake decided to celebrate their wedding at one of our favorite little venues on the north side of the city, Salvatore's. It was the perfect size and setting for their intimate gathering of 150 people. If you're considering this for your upcoming affair, we always recommend incorporating white or candlelight to brighten up the dark mahogany walls in the interior space. 

The eclectic palette chosen by Kemi was a combination of golds, oranges, and indigos. Her centerpieces were an assortment of hydrangea and exotic ti leaves set within orange dyed water. The bouquets were gatherings of mango callas, milva roses, rust orange dahlias, blue anemones, indigo lisianthus, red mokaras, and orange brain celosia.

Salvatore's Wedding: Therese and Mike

Back in February of this year, our adorable couple Therese and Mike celebrated their wedding day at Salvatore's in Chicago. Salvatore's is a quaint little Italian restaurant nestled on a quiet street in the heart of Lincoln Park. It's the perfect spot for intimate gatherings!

I love the warm candlelight amongst the rich wood paneled walls - especially during the freezing temperatures of winter! Crisp white floral is a definite for this space. It adds just the right amount of color (or absence of color) without being a distraction. Simplicity at it's best.
