The one thing I find sad about doing what we do is that when it's over we say farewell to our bride and grooms. It's usually not a "repeat customer" business. However, there are times when we're fortunate to find families with many siblings and become involved in their celebrations for years to come. Carrie is from one of those families.
It all started back in 2008 when we decorated the interior of The Knickerbocker hotel for Carrie's big sister Cherise. Cherise was a romantic, much like her other sister Christy who was recently married last year at the Palmer House. Both Cherise and Christy selected a traditional palette of white with lots of candlelight. When Carrie came to us, we were expecting much of the same. Boy were we mistaken! Carrie and Andrew wanted something different, unexpected, and colorful! They skipped the ornate ballrooms and went directly for a modern, boutique hotel. Welcome to The Wit Hotel!
Carrie and Andrew loved exotic flowers! They selected a vivid assortment of mokara orchids, james storie orchids, and birds of paradise. To add a third dimension, we tinted the water blue for chic coastal effect. Kara Pearson did a fabulous job of capturing all of the details. Here are a few of my favorites off of her blog. Enjoy!
